iPhone: Messaging

A few other missing features on the iPhone: MMS messaging and easily sending contact information.

Yes, I can email photos, but not everyone has an iPhone that can check email. MMS has been on the phones I've owned for awhile, so how did the iPhone miss the boat?

As far as sending contact information, I'd be happy if the iPhone could automatically convert contact information into text and send it via SMS. It doesn't seem that you can email contact information either.

I don't mind the lack of MMS. First of all hardly anyone used it. Secondly it was a bad solution. It was not quite email and not quite SMS but more complicated than both and had all the problems of both without the convinience.

Regerding contacts then I would actually have rather preferred the solution to have it converted to mail or text sms. Mostly because sending the conect information between 2 different phones hardly ever seems to work.

    Hello Jon,

I didn't use mms much for the first 6 months, but for the last year I used it every few days. I'll miss it.

as far as contacts, vcards worked okay when I used them with my (horrible) samsung phone. Either way, I'd take anything at this point.

    Thanks for the comment.

    Cheers, Jay

I just posted about this myself. You can send MMS to other (lesser) phones via email. It's probably somewhat of a pain if you're a big MMSer, but I only use MMS once in a while, so it doesn't bother me.

Is the iphone capable of SMS multiple contacts simultaneously?
