Today I was browsing the web for Ruby/Rails conferences to submit speaking proposals to. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a list of Ruby/Rails conferences anywhere (that I could find). Hopefully this list will save some time for anyone else looking for a similar list.
U. S. Regional Conferences
What other Ruby/Rails conferences have I missed?
You missed RubyKaigi 2008 (Tsukuba, Japan).

Hi, European Ruby Conference (EURUKO 2008) is scheduled to take place in Prague, Czech Republic in late March. The website should be live next week, so stay tuned!

There is eRubyCon(http://erubycon.com/)
ReplyDeleteAlso, if you are interested in regional conferences:
Mountain West Ruby Conf
mtnwestruby.org/
Ruby East:
http://www.ruby-east.com/
Emerging Technologies for the Enterprise
http://phillyemergingtech.com/
(has a lot of Ruby related talks).
Gotham Ruby Conference (GoRuCo) - April 26, 2008, New York City, http://www.goruco.com/
ReplyDeleteAny reason you left regional conferences off? Just because they're geared to a regional audience doesn't mean that speakers (or the audience for that matter) only come from withing the region.

I wasn't going to add regionals because I wanted to keep the list to the big ones*, but I don't see any reason not to add them in a regionals section.

*Of course, I have no idea how big most of the ones outside of the US are.
I've created a public Google Calendar to save the dates for most of the events listed here. If you want to add more events, send me an email and I'll add you as a "committer" :)

I've kept a calendar here for a few years and try to keep it updated:
