  3. It is an excellent book -- IMHO, required reading for any Ruby developer that cares about their work.

  4. I received my copy of "Refactoring: Ruby Edition" on Friday and I must say that you guys have created a classic. BTW, I have completed an excellent first chapter and I look forward to reading the remaining chapters in the coming days. Jay, you and the team (i.e. Shane, Martin, and Kent) have created a great piece of work and I plan to recommend it to every Ruby developer I know.

  6. Yay! I've been following the development on Safari and anticipating this release. A wonderful book, and I can't wait to have it in real paper and ink :) Congratulations!

  7. I'm working through the book Jay, anywhere I can get the source code?

chap, unfortunately, no. The examples don't lend themselves to being kept in runnable format. We tried, but there's so many snippets that it didn't make sense.

Please let me know what you think of the book.

    Cheers, Jay

  9. No worries.

If anybody is interested in following along, I've started a repo on github as I work through the book.

  10. Just ordered my copy, along with the Design Patterns in Ruby book!

If I get any more "enterprise", I might start having to wear a suit to work or develop a taste for Earl Grey.

Just kidding. By all reports they are both very much Ruby books, and excellent books at that. Thanks for your contribution!
